To Hell And Back: Buffy #15 and Willow #1 review

Despite the recent delays due to Covid-19, it seems we’re now back on track and back in Sunnydale with everybody’s favourite vampire slayer and her friends. Of course, not all Buffy’s friends are in the same place now, as Willow has gone off to have her own adventures in mini-series Willow . But before we take a look at what she’s been doing, let’s look at Buffy issue 15... Buffy issue 15 Buffy issue 15 has a very small cast of characters, as well as a new artist. While I didn’t dislike this art, it felt perhaps a little softer than I’d prefer, reminding me of some of the Dark Horse art that I’d seen online. I much preferred Dan Mora from the first four comics, or the issue 14 artist, but the art isn’t off-putting and by the end of the issue I rather liked it. As for the characters, we only have four familiar faces. Buffy, Wood, Rose, and Kendra all decide to head to the Sunnydale Botanical Gardens for a possibly-romantic evening. History in the making: Angel & Spike #11 and Chosen Ones review

This week I’m taking a look at both Angel & Spike issue 11 and Chosen Ones , both of which try to shed more light on the history of vampires and Slayers. While we learn more about Angel’s past in this latest issue, Chosen Ones reveals three new Slayers of the past to us. So let’s dive in... Angel & Spike issue 11 Issue 11 of Angel & Spike picks up where we left off, with Kate Lockley in mortal danger and Fred and Gunn without a clue how to save her. However, this issue is also keen to jump around a little, providing more backstory for Angel’s mission, as well as pull Wolfram & Hart firmly back into the plot. So, let’s take a look at what the issue had to offer. First of all, it seems that I was wrong about Kate being killed off at the end of last issue, as Fred manages to save her thanks to the intervention of Baphomet, who she’s still connected to following her trip to Wolfram & Hart.
